Live precipitation over Norway. The animation shows the last 2 hours of precipitation. Switch to satellite for cloud cover. Click the markers to go to the city page.
RainViewer collects precipitation data from weather radar stations worldwide and updates every 10 minutes. For Norway it uses data from the MET Norway radar network (Bømlo, Hægebostad, Rissa, Andøya and others).
The colour scale shows intensity: light blue = light rain, green = moderate rain, yellow/orange = heavy rain, red = very heavy rain or cloudburst.
Satellite mode shows cloud cover from NASA satellite imagery (true-color, updated daily) — good for seeing cloud systems across the whole country. Switch between rain and satellite with the buttons above the map.
