Privacy

Været.org respects your privacy. We collect as little data as possible, and we never sell data to third parties.

What we do not collect

• We have no user accounts, no registration, no passwords.
• We do not share data with ad networks, and we show no advertising.

What we collect

• Anonymous server logs (IP, user-agent, path) for 7 days for troubleshooting.
• Aggregated, anonymised visitor statistics (Google Analytics) to understand which pages are useful.
• One functional cookie (vaeret_lang) that stores your language choice (nb/en).

External APIs

When you load a city page, our server fetches data from MET Norway and other sources — but these calls come from our server, not from your browser. External APIs therefore never see your IP address.

The only exception: the precipitation radar at /radar/ loads map tiles directly from RainViewer, which therefore sees your IP address.
